This Privacy Policy explains how The Livingroom (“we”, “us”) collects and processes personal data when you subscribe to our newsletter on https://livingroom.place.

When you subscribe to our newsletter, we process:

We do not require account creation and we do not intentionally collect sensitive personal data.

3. Purpose of processing

We use your email address only to:

  • Send newsletters and updates you requested by subscribing.

We do not use your email address for profiling or automated decision-making.

Because The Livingroom is established in Romania (EU), we process your email address under:

  • Consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR)

5. Newsletter delivery provider (Brevo)

We use Brevo to manage subscription lists and send newsletters. Brevo acts as a data processor on our behalf and processes your email address only to provide email delivery and related services.

Depending on Brevo’s infrastructure and configuration, your data may be processed in the EU/EEA and/or transferred outside the EU/EEA. Where transfers occur, they are protected using appropriate safeguards under GDPR (such as Standard Contractual Clauses, where applicable).

6. No double opt-in

We currently do not use double opt-in. This means that if an email address is entered into our subscription form, it may be added to our newsletter list without an additional confirmation step.

If you believe someone subscribed you without your permission, you can unsubscribe immediately using the link in any email or contact us at hello@livingroom.place.

7. How to unsubscribe

You can unsubscribe at any time by:

  • Clicking the unsubscribe link in any newsletter email, or
  • Contacting us at hello@livingroom.place.

Once you unsubscribe, we will stop sending newsletters to that address. We may retain minimal records to ensure you are not re-added inadvertently (e.g., a suppression/unsubscribe record), where required for compliance and respecting your preferences.

8. Data retention

We keep your email address:

  • For as long as you remain subscribed to the newsletter, and
  • For a limited period afterward as necessary to maintain an unsubscribe/suppression record and meet legal/compliance obligations.

We do not sell your personal data.

  • Brevo (newsletter delivery), and
  • Service providers necessary to operate our website (e.g., hosting), where they may process data on our behalf.
